What hard water does to a strand

Why your regular shampoo can't fix it

Ordinary shampoo is engineered to strip oil and dirt off hair. Calcium and magnesium aren't oil or dirt, they're metal ions, and a surfactant built for grease has no chemistry for grabbing them.
